“The Muddy Warrior” will be televised on the NBC Sports Network at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday， and can also be streamed live on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra app. It airs in Canada on CTV， starting at 5：30 a.m. ET Thursday morning.
U.S. fans who want to try out for “Muddys” or purchase tickets ($29.95) should visit MuddyWrk.com by May 16， when registration opens.
The competition consists of three rounds： a qualifying heat， a team round and an individual final. Athletes who place among the top three in their heats advance to the next round， with the winning teams and individuals taking home prize money. The top five scoring U.S. women’s and men’s teams and top seven U.S. male and female competitors with the best times make up the field for Friday night’s finals. In case of rain， the event will take place Saturday， May 24 (weather permitting).
NBCSN’s coverage will be hosted by Dan Hicks， Andrea Joyce， Todd Harris and Todd Lewis. NBC Olympics Research Analyst and former NCAA record holder for the 800 meters， Dr. Joe DeLoach， will offer analysis from his experience as an Olympic silver medalist in track and field. NBC Olympics producer Will Heasman will contribute to the presentation with behind-the-scenes stories and insights.
